From a daughter or a son
Open both the federal and provincial schedule 11 of your daughter's or
son's return and scroll to the bottom. Designate the amount you want to transfer
at line 327 of the federal form and, if applicable, line 5920 of the provincial form. Go to your return(or
the return receiving the transfer), use the Dependant button to enter the
tarnsfer amount as part of the dependant info. If your daughter or son is
filing a paper return, then she/he needs to fill the back of the T2202A form,
sign it and attach it to her/his return. If she/he is filing using Netfile, then
she/he need to keep T2202A in case CRA ask for it.
From a spouse
Open both the federal and provincial schedule 11 of your spouse's return and scroll to the bottom. Check the box to the left of line 327 and enter the amount you want to transfer at line 327 of the federal form and, if applicable, line 5920 of the provincial form. If you did not create a linked returns, then go to your return and enter the amount on schedule 2(both federal and provincial). If you created a linked returns, then the software will fill the amounts automatically. If your spouse is filing a paper return, then she/he needs to fill the back of the T2202A form, sign it and attach it to her/his return. If she/he is filing using Netfile, then she/he need to keep T2202A in case CRA ask for it.

: The provincial transfer steps do not
apply to the following provinces; Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick.
