Filing the return - CRA Netfile site

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PAGE CONTAINS INFORMATION ON HOW TO USE CRA NETFILE SITE. THIS IS NOT RELATED TO STUDIOTAX.

You will notice that all the graphics on this page are screen dumps of Internet explorer and the CRA Netfile web site.

The CRA Netfile home page looks like the following window:

You can browse the site to learn more about Netfile. Once you are ready to file your return, then select the "File your return!" button highlighted by the red circle. At the next page, you will need to confirm that CRA has on file your current information. Once you acknowledge that CRA has the correct information you can proceed to the next page.

The next CRA Netfile page looks like the following page:

You need to read the information provided on this page and you have to scroll down and press the agree button if you still want to file your return using Netfile. The agree button is highlighted by the red marker above.

Once you agree to the terms and conditions, the CRA Netfile transmission page is displayed:

At this page, you need to enter the mandatory information highlighted by (1) your SIN, (2) your date of birth, (3) the access code provided by CRA, and (4) press browse and find the file created by Studiotax Netfile wizard as described on page 4 of the tutorial. Once the first 4 items are filled, scroll down the page and press the agree button.

If your return is accepted by CRA, then you will get a confirmation page similar to:

This page contains a number to confirm that your return is received by CRA. You should print this page for your record or at least take note of the confirmation number.

You may also want to print a copy of your return to keep it with the rest of your records.

That's all, you're done!
